Since 4th of July is this Saturday, we get Friday off. That means that this work week is halfway over, yet I'm still a little tired from the previous weekend, but one or two more naps and I'll be all rejunivated. I'd say it was one of the best weekends in the city with all the events going on, the great weather, and a day off that I took on Friday since I maxed out my PTO again.

I spent Friday at Monterey/Carmel. I took my mom there, and she knew that we were going to eat a lot, but I bet she didn't think we were going to go to four restaurants and two bakeries in one day. My favorites were Carmel Belle and Passionfish. I usually don't like to visit the same restaurant twice when I travel, but those two places I'd actually go to again. We also visited landmarks too - not the usual Monterey Bay Aquarium or 17-Mile Drive. That's so first-time-visit! We went to the Point Lobos State Reserve, the Mission Basilica, and the Carmel Beach to name a few.

Saturday was just as busy. My church had a barbeque at Golden Gate Park ... and I didn't bring a camera! The weather was beautiful. After the barbeque, I hung out at the Mission and it was Pride week and there was a dyke march going on. For dinner, I ate at Mission Street Food with a group of friends followed by some ice cream from Bi-Rite Creamery, then we walked in the dyke march. We had to walk off the food somehow, right?

Sunday was even busier. I woke up for church, which happens to be right beside the Pride festival, so I walked over to the festival after. My main purpose of going there was really to see BoA perform - her first U.S. performance, they said. I stood in the sun for hours and managed to get away sunburn-free (except for just a little redness on my face). I also got to see Solange Knowles perform. What a great way to end the weekend!
